WAR MEMORIAL PETITION

Currently a petition is being undertaken by Pigeon Radio Australia (Rod Simmons/Ivan Fonti) for a permanent display to be provided in the "New" extensions planned for the Australian War Memorial in Canberra depicting the part that pigeons (and other animals) played during the World Wars. Correspondence to date with Dr Brendon Nelson, curator of the memorial, have been very positive. Dr Nelson has been impressed with information already provided to him. He has informed both Ivan and Rod that if there is enough public support for such a display to be provided at the Australian War Memorial then he would definitely support the concept. This therefore is the reason for sending you the attached petition form in an effort to gain as many signatures as possible.  Those signing the petition DO NOT have to be pigeon fanciers, friends, family and neighbors can all sign if they wish to support this concept.

Therefore can you please support this by downloading and printing the petition, and getting as many people to sign as possible. Completed forms can be scanned and sent to Ivan Fonti (his e-mail address appears at the bottom of the form), or they can be sent to Paul Gibbs, at ....    pigeon52@bigpond.net.au
